App Tastic
SINGING FINGERS-Free
Love this app for vocal exploration and it is FREE!
The easiest application for this is to use as pitch matching practice and vocalization.
l have a vocalise that I have created, students listen to the sound and record their own below.
The color corresponds with the pitches so students can tell before even listening if their examples match mine.

Stomp Fingers HD
Everyone watches stomp. It's like a right of passage for elementary music
students. Well this year after we watch stomp, we will be using the Stomp
Fingers app on our Ipad carts to arrange and record compositions, play listening
examples for dictation, improvise, and even some rhythmic reading. There is a
free version of this app that has a background design just like the opening
credits of the movie with different "Junk" that makes sounds. I love that it is
multi touch so you could have 3 students each playing a different ostinato at
the same time, so some great partworking possibilities if you only have 1 pad.
For 99 cents I bought the full version which allows me to record compositions and
has the basketball scene as well. For my purposes definitely worth the upgrade.

These are a few of my favorite Apps.
If you are really a music teacher, you heard this to the tune of Favorite Things from Sound of Music.
